Job summary

Oakland Schools in Madison High School is seeking a School Social Worker to provide assessments, counseling, crisis intervention, and liaison with community resources to support students and families.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to develop MTSS-based interventions, support IEP processes, and ensure holistic student well-being within a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• MSW degree from an accredited institution.
• LCSW or equivalent certification preferred.
• ME DOE approval for school social work eligibility or eligible via SSW-310 form.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services to students individually and in groups.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for social-emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to create behavior support and MTSS plans.
• Coordinate with families and community resources for support services.
• Respond to crises with immediate intervention.
• Participate in IEP meetings and MDT discussions as needed.
• Liaise with external providers to ensure access to resources.
