Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a School Psychologist to support MTSS, conduct assessments, and collaborate with school teams to improve academic and behavior outcomes. The role emphasizes data-based problem solving, consultation with families, and comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations when needed.

The position operates within Counseling and Student Services and requires NC licensure eligibility, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• KT knowledge of MTSS for service delivery and universal screening.
• Strong data-based decision making and progress monitoring.
• Experience collaborating with staff, families, and external partners.
• Familiarity with state/federal policies affecting special education.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with district/school staff to deliver MTSS with high quality instruction and interventions.
• Provides analysis of universal screenings and progress monitoring data.
• Consults with families and agencies regarding cognitive, academic, social, and behavioral needs.
• Administers assessments and writes psychoeducational reports when required.
• Promotes safe, respectful environments and supports mental health within MTSS.
