Job summary

Alamance-Burlington Schools is seeking a School Psychologist (Temporary 50%) to support the Exceptional Children Division in Burlington, NC. The role is 20 hours per week for 10 months, reporting to the Principal. Duties include MTSS collaboration, assessments, reporting, and professional development.

Qualifications include NC School Psychology license and a valid driver’s license, with strong teamwork and data skills to support student success.

Qualifications

  • Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina professional educator’s license in School Psychology.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with district and school leadership to implement MTSS for high quality instruction matched to student need.
  • Provide services including universal screenings, data-based problem solving, progress monitoring, and data interpretation for stakeholders.
  • Consult with district and school staff, families, and community agencies regarding cognitive, academic, social, and behavioral needs of students.
  • Administer relevant assessments to determine strengths, needs, and areas of disability.
  • Prepare and provide psychoeducational reports to guide programming and instruction.
  • Develop and review Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Engage in professional development and growth aligned to district and school improvement plans.
