Job summary

Oklahoma City Public Schools seeks an MTSS School Support Specialist to help establish and implement evidence-based MTSS strategies district-wide. You will collaboratively develop school-wide MTSS systems and provide direct intervention and progress monitoring in academics, behavior, and SEL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Education or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of school-based experience in teaching, counseling, special education, or student support services.
• Experience with progress monitoring, designing interventions, and RTI/SEL.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and ability to use data systems for intervention planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers and families.

Responsibilities

• Support and coach teachers on Tier 1 instruction and Tier 2/3 interventions.
• Share research-based instructional strategies to improve student outcomes.
• Facilitate high-quality professional development for teachers and staff.
• Collaborate with MTSS Coordinators to identify areas for improvement and provide solutions.
• Attend professional development conferences to share information with diverse stakeholders.
• Assist districts with MTSS implementation, monitoring and data collection.
