Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent; receive a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service paraeducator assessment; or an associate degree or higher; or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the one hundred level or higher; or completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator.
• One year related work experience and/or working with students and parents in a community or school setting; or any combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with MTSS implementation by supporting students at various levels of need.
• Deliver targeted small-group or one-on-one interventions under certified staff guidance.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records in district systems.
• Promote a positive learning environment and use de-escalation strategies when needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to coordinate support for students.
