Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA degree or 72 college credits, or pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Post high school training in child development desirable.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking required.
• Math and/or Reading Authorization testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support students within MTSS framework in academic and social/behavioral domains.
• Work with students in group and individual settings.
• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and developing skills.
• Adapt classroom work to support individual learning objectives.
• Maintain equipment and student records for safe learning environments.
• Monitor student activities to ensure safety and progress.
• Perform clerical tasks and support home-school communications.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques when needed in classrooms.
