Seldon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a versatile engineer to build interfaces for creating and reviewing research data, and to develop APIs and data models. You’ll connect apps to data pipelines, enforce input validation and permissions, and scale performance as datasets grow.

You’ll collaborate with researchers and domain experts to refine workflows, fix issues, and deliver robust solutions across the stack.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining applications used by others.
• Strong skills in TypeScript and React, or Python with FastAPI.
• Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Practical approach to testing and debugging, and incorporating user feedback.
• Initiative, principled decision-making, and collaborative problem solving.

Job description

You’ll build applications that support the creation and review of research data. Researchers and domain experts use these tools to write tasks, inspect files and agent runs, and compare experiment results. You’ll work with them to understand what they need, develop the interfaces and services, and maintain the software as the work evolves.

What you’ll work on

What you’ll bring

• Experience building and maintaining applications used by other people.
• Strong skills in TypeScript and React, or Python and a backend framework such as FastAPI, with a willingness to work across the stack.
• Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• A practical approach to testing, debugging, and incorporating feedback from users.
• You take initiative and follow through on your work. You’re principled in your decisions, open about uncertainty, and collaborative in how you solve problems.

• Experience with annotation tools, research software, or interfaces for exploring large datasets.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS.
