Job summary

Relyans Max is seeking a Maintenance Tech level 1 to perform light to heavy repairs across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems. The role includes completing preventative maintenance on production equipment and fabricating components as needed.

The technician will troubleshoot using testing instruments, follow specifications, and maintain safe, efficient operation of machinery in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
• Hi-Lo, manlift, and crane license is required

Responsibilities

• Perform light to heavy repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues using testing instruments and follow engineering specifications.
• Weld, alter, and fabricate components on machinery with shop tools.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs all necessary light duty repairs including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing. Light to heavy duty fabrication within the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance requirements on all production equipment.
• Perform minor building maintenance, including problems with heating, plumbing, electrical and structural with supervision.
• Intermediate trouble shooting abilities to locate source of problems by observing device, listening for problems, and using testing instruments.
• Follow manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with supervision.
• Welding, altering, and fabrication of components on machinery using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Movement of equipment, both internal and external
• Removal of defective components using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools
• Assist in safety and housekeeping repairs
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Look up spare parts in computer
• Fill out work orders and repair slips

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
• Hi-Lo, manlift, and crane license is required

• Chemicals, oils, acids, sprays, coolants and solvents.
