Job summary

The University of New Mexico's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences MSW Program seeks a self-motivated, full-time 12-month faculty member for Spring 2027. Teaching will include in-person and online graduate courses, with summers included.

The ideal candidate has medical social work experience and a passion for building an equitable, anti-oppressive curriculum. The successful applicant will primarily teach MSW courses, develop new materials, and have opportunities for clinical time

Qualifications

• Doctorate or PhD in social services or related field by December 2026 acceptable.
• MSW is required.
• Two years of post-master's social work experience required.
• License to practice social work (LMSW or LCSW) or equivalent license from another state.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person and online graduate courses (synchronous and asynchronous), including summers.
• Major workload focused on teaching in the MSW program.
• Develop new course materials and lesson plans for courses never taught before.
• Maintain clinical time and contribute to collaborative academic environment.
