Job summary

The School of Social Work at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work position with a nine-month appointment.

The successful candidate will teach in the clinical MSW program and may teach in the BSW or DSW programs as needed, with courses offered in-person weeknights and hybrid weekends. Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year, student advising, scholarly work, curriculum development, CSWE accreditation, and

Qualifications

• MSW degree from CSWE-accredited program and post-MSW clinical practice experience.
• Ability and interest in teaching clinical social work at the graduate level.
• Experience teaching in both in-person and hybrid formats.
• Commitment to social work ethics and university mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach six social work courses per year.
• Teach across formats (in-person weeknights and hybrid weekends).
• Student advising and mentoring.
• Engage in scholarly work, research, and publications.
• Contribute to curriculum development and CSWE accreditation.
• Participate in department, college, university, and community service.
