Job summary

The University of Minnesota seeks a Project Manager to lead an NSF MSRI-1 project, coordinating scope, cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder engagement. Working with the PI and science/technical teams, you will ensure activities align with NSF guidelines and the approved plan.

You will maintain performance baselines, oversee risk mitigation, and coordinate across the institution, NSF program officers, sub-awardees, and partners to deliver timely, compliant project controls outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• Six years of related experience managing multi-million dollar projects.
• Advanced degree with at least four years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project office.
• Direct and coordinate the project controls team.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of project staff.
• Lead regular project team meetings, technical reviews, and schedule update sessions; prepare and distribute minutes and action item logs.
• Ensure compliance with NSF policies and award terms and conditions.
