Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Maintenance and Construction (DZMC) seeks a Nuclear MSR Construction Manager to lead on-site construction activities in Waynesboro, GA for a 2+ year project. You will manage craft and labor agreements, coordinate with labor officials, and apply industry best practices in a heavy industrial setting.

The role requires 5+ years in construction management, strong scheduling and cost control skills, and experience with unions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Construction Management experience in heavy industry or similar facilities.
• Broad experience in managing project scopes with safety, human performance and subcontract management.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Associate degree or apprenticeship or equivalent education/experience.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling and project cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of managing project schedules and subcontractors.
• Experience with union building trades; resume must reflect this.
• Ability to read and interpret union labor agreements, contracts and project specs.

We're looking for a Nuclear MSR Construction Manager to join our projects team on site in Waynesboro GA

This is expected to be a 2 year + project

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful oversight of all project (s) construction obligations and implementation of the craft/labor agreements at his/her assigned project(s)
• Relationships with local labor officials are being managed effectively, either through his/her Project Manager (when applicable) or directly
• Internal and external industry knowledge and best practices are maintained and improved through continuous learning and development This position is typically billable and not viewed by the Customer as Home Office support for D&Z

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant Construction Management experience in Heavy industrial industry, or similar responsible position at a similar facility and/or industry application
• Must have broad base experience in managing projects scopes with demonstrated success managing all key elements of safety, human performance and Sub-Contract management project execution
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
• Associate degree in a relevant field or the completion of an apprenticeship program required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as other training required by the company
• Must have a working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling and project cost accounting and project change management skills.
• Must have a strong knowledge of managing the project schedule. This position is for a sub-contract management project execution.
• Must have experience of managing construction subcontractors
• Work experience with union building trades craft. (Need to provide experience in resume.)
• Must be able to read, interpret and have working knowledge of the following:
  • Applicable union labor agreement
  • Contract documents
  • Project documents and specifications.
  • Safety procedures
  • Project change management
  • Assist in the generation of Scopes of work, for subcontract documents.
  • D&Z operating procedures. (training will be required in this)

Pay and Benefits

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
