Day & Zimmermann Maintenance and Construction (DZMC) in Waynesboro, GA is seeking a Mechanical Planner to join the Projects team on site. The role focuses on developing complete work packages, supporting field planning, and coordinating estimates, schedules, and resource loading for complex plant projects.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Engineering or a high school diploma with extended education, plus 3+ years of field planning and strong proficiency in planning within nuclear

• High school diploma required; some college or post-secondary education preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of applicable experience or BS Degree in Engineering, plus 3 years of field planning experience.
• Computer proficiency certifications are a plus or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive work packages within Day & Zimmermann's work package procedure.
• Support field operations in work planning, recognize material needs and assist in performing Change management, identifying changes based on drawing/spec revisions and elevating this information to the construction team.
• Interface with field operations on the development of estimate, schedule and resource loading.
• Assist in material procurement and material receipt inspection.
• Perform real and virtual walk downs with field operations.

We're looking for a Mechanical Planner to join our Day & Zimmermann Projects team on site located in Waynesboro, GA.

Anticipated assignment duration: ASAP - Spring 2028

• Thorough understanding of Microsoft software


• Ability to work independently, use problem-solving judgment and organize and prioritize work assignments


• Ability to conduct oneself professionally and with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality where necessary


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)


• Full knowledge of the Planning requirements within the Nuclear industry (e.g. reference material, process and procedures), and experience planning or the ability to quickly to start planning within the clients work management system

What You Will Be Doing:

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,000- $193,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
