Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or better in Nursing or related field.
• Administrative experience in an academic setting.
• Experience in curriculum and program development.
• Teaching experience in nursing at the baccalaureate and master levels.
• Family Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California with recent practice experience.
• Registered nurse in the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in development of the MSN-FNP within Concordia University Irvine: develops graduate curricula for new program development; coordinates online/hybrid/on-ground graduate nursing curriculum and class scheduling.
• Serves as a member of committees as appointed by the Assistant Dean/Director of Nursing.
• Performs instructional duties as assigned.
• Coordinates academic matters with faculty workload and orientation of subject matter experts.
• Directs and collaborates on release time for faculty projects and research.
• Participates in recruitment of adjunct faculty and evaluation of faculty.
• Assures development and operation of graduate simulation content in the clinical MSN curriculum.
• Manages student requests for leave of absence, petitions and grievances.
• Develops curriculum evaluation components for MSN and accreditation.
• Plans/evaluates curriculum content and program outcomes for WASC/CCNE and BRN accreditation.
• Assists in preparing and monitoring annual program budget.
• Attends conferences/workshops relevant to program needs.
• Other assignments as delegated by the Assistant Dean/Director of Nursing.
