Job summary

Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA seeks a Director of the MSN-Entry Program to oversee program development and coordination. This full-time role combines administrative leadership with a faculty appointment, reporting to the Dean of the College of Graduate Nursing.

The Director will ensure MSN-E program accreditation, collaborate with clinical partners, and guide policy development, budgeting, and faculty recruitment to advance student learning and program quality.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year experience in higher education or nursing administration as program director or similar, and one year of full-time nursing teaching experience.
• State board of nursing approved for teaching in a required subject area.
• Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred.
• Must possess a current RN license.

Responsibilities

• Lead MSN-Entry Program implementation and coordination.
• Represent the College of Graduate Nursing in university committees and services.
• Develop, evaluate, and advance the college's educational, scholarly and public service activities.
• Suggests policies to meet the college's needs and ensure accreditation compliance.
• Oversee planning, budget, and resource allocation for the MSN-E program.
• Manage communication with clinical facilities and maintain preceptor relationships.
• Ensure student immunizations and health screenings are met before clinicals.
