Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for Inflammation and Respiratory in Southern California and West/Central Arizona. This field-based role requires extensive travel (60-70%) to engage with Pulmonology, Allergy, ENT, and GI providers to discuss scientific data and expand indications.

You will serve as a primary scientific resource, communicate data to healthcare professionals, and support research collaborations within the territory, reporting to an Inflammation Respiratory/GI MSL

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required.
• Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. preferred.
• 1+ years Medical Affairs experience.
• 4+ years in a medically related field, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Respiratory and/or Immunology expertise.
• Experience with designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Majority of time spent on peer-to-peer activities with Respiratory, Gastroenterology and related indications.
• Travel for territory management and attendance at national and regional conferences/workshops.
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support the therapeutic area pipeline.
• Engage with health system stakeholders to communicate scientific data.
• Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to expand Amgen reach for patients.
• Provide and present scientific data in line with compliance standards.
• Support Amgen-sponsored research and may lead studies.
• Lead projects supporting MSL strategies as delegated by leadership.
• Collaborate across Amgen field roles for a coordinated One Amgen experience.
• Execute administrative and training tasks (CRM, expenses, compliance) promptly.
