Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for Inflammation to cover Southern California, including Los Angeles, and West/Central Arizona. The MSL will engage with Pulmonology, Allergy, ENT, and Gastroenterology providers, traveling extensively to build scientific relationships and advance the company’s therapeutic platform.

The role requires a Doctorate and experience in Medical Affairs or Scientific Affairs, with strong communication and collaboration skills to support evidence-based exchange

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required.
• Preferred Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O.
• 1+ years Medical Affairs experience.
• 4+ years in a medically related field.
• Experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Respiratory, Gastroenterology and/or Inflammation expertise.
• Experience with designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Peer-to-peer activities with Respiratory, Gastroenterology and related conditions to discuss and advance scientific platform.
• Travel 60-70% for territory management and conferences.
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support therapeutic area pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data to PHDMs and health systems.
• Provide and present field observations to inform Amgen strategies.
• Lead/contribute to congress activities and speaker training as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for One Amgen experience.
