Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, seeks an accomplished academic radiologist to serve as Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at Associate Professor or Professor rank. This leadership role guides a well-established MSK program within a large academic health system.

The Chief will oversee clinical operations across Montefiore sites, support faculty recruitment and mentorship, and foster collaborations with Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, and Rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree required.
• ABR-certified or ABR-eligible.
• Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology required.
• Licensed to practice in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Interpret MSK imaging studies across radiography, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
• Perform MSK image-guided procedures (arthrography, injections, biopsies).
• Collaborate with Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, and Physical Therapy.
• Teach residents, fellows, and medical students; mentor junior faculty.
• Contribute to clinical and translational research within the department.
