Job summary

DG Foods, Inc. in Bastrop, LA is seeking a Mechanically Separated Chicken (MSC) Coordinator to coordinate and schedule poultry shipments from the plant to customers and distribution centers.

You will develop schedules, work with production, warehouse and transportation teams, and ensure deliveries meet customer requirements while optimizing transport efficiency. The role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Shipping, logistics or scheduling experience preferred in food processing/manufacturing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work varied hours including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly shipping schedules to meet customer demands and plant production capabilities.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure timely shipments.
• Communicate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to arrange transportation and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor and track shipments and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain records of shipping schedules, load plans, and delivery confirmations.
• Ensure compliance with USDA and company policies.
