Job summary

Sana's is seeking a MSAT Director to lead technical support for PhaseI manufacturing of its stem cell-derived pancreatic islet cell therapy for type1 diabetes. The role emphasizes leadership, scientific rigor, and collaboration within a fast-paced cell therapy environment.

You will oversee process development, tech transfers, and batch execution, while collaborating with CDMOs and internal teams to ensure regulatory readiness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in early-phase cell therapy manufacturing support.
• Experience working in cGMP and regulated environments.
• Knowledge of PSC culture and differentiation biology.
• Leadership experience with >3 direct reports.
• Strong problem-solving and technical writing skills; cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team supporting process development, technology transfers, batch execution, and documentation.
• Collaborate with external CDMOs and internal Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams.
• Author regulatory CMC documents (IND module3).
• Lead investigations, troubleshoot process issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness and technical compliance.
