Job summary

The role includes post-construction inspections, illicit discharge checks, and MS4-related outfall screenings, with communication to contractors and county officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water resources, environmental sciences, or related field.
• DEQ certifications required within one year of employment (per job description).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and consult on permitted sites to ensure compliance with erosion and sediment control and stormwater laws.
• Complete and submit inspection reports via mail or email; communicate results to responsible parties.
• Suggest enforcement actions as needed and coordinate with County/DEQ.
• Perform post-construction stormwater inspections to verify BMP compliance.
• Conduct illicit discharge investigations and outfall dry weather screenings under MS4 permit requirements.
• Engage with contractors, developers, and property owners to provide technical guidance on regulations.
• Maintain records and use Cityworks, GIS, and MS4 program documentation.
