Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector to monitor construction sites across Western Virginia near Roanoke, Martinsville, and Danville. You will perform inspections focused on erosion and sediment control and storm water management, and report noncompliance findings to project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with state and federal environmental regulations including ESC/SWM programs.
• Experience inspecting erosion & sediment control and storm water management.
• Ability to communicate observations clearly to project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily record keeping of project activities related to environmental compliance.
• Monitor and perform environmental inspections to verify regulatory compliance.
• Report identified noncompliance observations from ESC and SWM inspections.
• Provide technical guidance during site visits related to ESC measures, SWPPP, and MS4 programs.
• Interpret and apply state and federal environmental laws and regulations during inspections.
