Job summary

BRICK Networks seeks to hire Special Education teachers that believe in BRICK's mission and work with underserved Black and Brown students in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate uses data to drive instruction, collaborates with coaches, and responds to feedback quickly with humility.

We are a full K-12 continuum offering wraparound supports; teaching is challenging but impactful, with a focus on student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. Full-time, 11 months, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• A valid teaching license or active pathway to acquire one.
• Current United States work authorization by start date.
• Experience working with children strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating proficiency when working with Black and Brown students from diverse backgrounds.
• Creating a positive, safe and collaborative classroom environment.
• Using data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet student needs.
• Attending required meetings and collaborating with coaches for growth.
• Building strong relationships with families and the school community.
