Fort Bend ISD is seeking a Teacher for Special Education MS Behavior Support Services at a middle school. The role focuses on academic, behavioral, social, and self-care growth, with the aim of reintegrating students into general education and improving transition readiness.

The position requires Texas teaching credentials, SPED certification, CPI or related training, and strong communication with families and staff. The role may include coaching UIL activities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide structured learning environments with consistent routines.
• Use Positive Behavior Support strategies to manage classrooms and build rapport.
• Implement Behavior Support Services elements as directed by the Program Manager.
• Develop instructional activities for multiple grade levels aligned to TEKS.
• Collaborate with parents, students, and community stakeholders to set measurable IEP goals.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff; maintain timely documentation.
• Collect and analyze progress data toward IEP goals across academics, behavior, social, and self-care.
• Prepare and implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on IEPs with accommodations/modifications.
• Fully implement students' IEPs, including BIPs and curriculum modifications.
• Coordinate with general education teachers to align lessons with the general curriculum.
• Prepare materials for daily lessons; conduct daily social skills training.
• Monitor student behavior in various settings and maintain professional relationships.
• Direct/paraprofessionals, aides, volunteers; train staff and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Assist with basic student needs related to disability, including self-care skills.
• May provide vocational, career development, and transition instruction as needed.
