Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Texas McCombs School of Business invites applications for a Senior Academic Program Coordinator to support the MSM Programs Office, focusing on student experience and program administration.

You will partner with the MS Program Director, career team, and faculty to design co‑curricular events, manage degree progress, and maintain the student handbook across a growing, hybrid MSM program on the Austin campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education, program management or related industry role.
• Experience helping students navigate degree requirements for graduation.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with students and academic partners.
• Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent event planning and project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Ability to pivot and adapt with the demands of a fast‑paced and growing program.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee students’ degree & curriculum requirements; ensuring students are meeting degree requirements; registration add/drop changes in schedule.
• Collaborate with MS Program Director, Director of Student Experience, and Career Management Team to create co‑curricular programming to complement academic experiences.
• Work with MSPO Program Operations team to coordinate final exam scheduling, elective offerings, and course instructor survey.
• Work with faculty in the program to ensure excellent student experience.
• Develop, and regularly maintain, MS Program student handbook in collaboration with the MS Program’s Graduate Studies Committee.
• Collaborate with Event Program Coordinator and Director of Student Experience to help plan and execute larger events such as Orientation and Graduation.
