Job summary

Irving ISD seeks a qualified MS Math Teacher for Travis Middle School in Irving, Texas. The role involves delivering foundational and advanced mathematics to students, aligning lessons to TEKS, and using data to drive instruction.

The position reports to the campus principal and requires collaboration with staff and parent communication. Starting August 1, 2025, the teacher will contribute to student growth, manage classrooms, and participate in professional development within a 187-day work

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
Valid Texas teaching certificate for Middle/Secondary Mathematics.
Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary assignments.
ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement curriculum plans for the math program.
Present math concepts following district policies and state standards.
Use data to plan instructional strategies and personalize learning.
Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.
Plan and supervise instructional activities and use technology to support learning.
Maintain open communication with students’ families and administrators.
Participate in district/pro campus professional development.
