Qualifications

• BA degree required; background check and CORI/SORI and fingerprinting.
• Two or more years of middle school math teaching experience preferred.
• MA Certified or able to pass MTEL within 1 year.
• SEI endorsement required.
• Experience with arts integration and restorative practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach five classes of middle school math.
• Apply anti-racist, anti-oppression curricula and materials.
• Create a respectful classroom atmosphere and clear norms.
• Plan curricula and prepare course expectations and materials.
• Supervise students during non-class time (e.g., lunch).
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback via PowerSchool.
• Use PVPA standards-based grading for reporting progress.
• Attend regular team meetings and school-wide professional development.
• Meet with students/parents for conferences as scheduled.
• Coordinate with special educators to address diverse learners' needs.
• Other duties as required.
