Raul Yzaguirre School for Success Charter seeks an Educational Aide to support teachers and students in delivering instructional programs. The role involves assisting with classroom management, helping students in small groups or one-on-one, and contributing to special education processes.

You will be part of a team under the supervision of certified staff, providing essential support during breakfast, lunch and events, and helping prepare ARD/IEP documentation as needed.

Qualificações

• Educational Aide certificate as established by the State Board for Educator Certification.
• Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 semester hours).
• Possess an associate's (or higher) degree; or meet THEA standard verifying reading, writing, and math instructional ability.

Responsabilidades

• Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals by working with small groups or an individual student.
• Assists teacher(s) in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to support learning.
• Supervises students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, events and programs.
• Assists with ARD/IEP paperwork and data entry for special education reports and documents.
• Assists with planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individuals and groups.
• Performs other campus duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, performs duties that are instructional in nature or may deliver direct services to students or parents. Serves in a position for which a teacher or another professional has ultimate responsibility for the design and implementation of educational programs and services. Assists with test administration. May provide specialized assistance for students with special needs.

Education & Experience

Educational Aide certificate as established by the State Board for Educator Certification.

1. Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as completion of 48 semester hours) of college course work.

2. Possess an associate's (or higher) degree; or

3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a local academic assessment—Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) [formerly the TASP test], verifying knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.

• Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals, by working with small groups of children or an individual child
• Assists teacher(s) in the enforcement of classroom management and behavioral plans, creating an environment that is appropriate for learning.
• Assists with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assists teacher(s) in the preparation of paperwork for the ARD/IEP process. Collects and enters data for completion of special education reports and documents.
• Assists teacher(s) with the planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
• Performs other campus duties as assigned.

Salary: MIN: $14.10/hrly MID: $16.68/hrly. MAX: $19.47/hrly
