Job summary

• Assists teacher(s) with planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individuals and groups.
• Performs other campus duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, performs duties that are instructional in nature or may deliver direct services to students or parents. Serves in a position for which a teacher or another professional has ultimate responsibility for the design and implementation of educational programs and services. Assists with test administration. May provide specialized assistance for students with special needs.

Education & Experience

Educational Aide certificate as established by the State Board for Educator Certification.

1. Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as completion of 48 semester hours) of college course work.

2. Possess an associate's (or higher) degree; or

3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a local academic assessmentTexas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) [formerly the TASP test], verifying knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
