Description

A Middle School Health & PE Teacher at Cary Academy is part of a faculty team dedicated to working with students in an interactive and collaborative environment that fosters inquiry and a love of learning. Teachers are expected to share their passion for their content in engaging ways, challenge students to relate their learning across disciplines and to the real world, and contribute to extracurricular programming and the school community.

Core Responsibilities

1. Teach physical education and health classes, including curriculum design, assessment, and feedback. May teach electives.
2. Coach at least one season in interscholastic sports, with stipends provided.
3. Develop experiential learning opportunities supporting the Center for Community Engagement.
4. Participate in school events, clubs, and activities.
