Job summary

The Winlock School District seeks a dedicated Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach for the upcoming season. This role requires leadership, skill development focus, and a commitment to a positive, inclusive team culture.

You will plan practices and games, communicate with families, ensure safety with CPR/First Aid certification, and collaborate with the athletic department to meet district policies. Evening and weekend events are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience at middle school or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes to achieve personal and team goals.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before season).
• Must pass a background check as required by district policy.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the season.

• Attend all scheduled games and events, providing leadership during competitions.
• Assist in recruiting and developing assistant coaches and volunteers as needed.
