Job summary

The Winlock School District seeks a dedicated seasonal Assistant MS Football Coach to support the head coach in planning practices, developing players’ skills, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.

You will communicate with players, parents and school staff, monitor performance, ensure safety, and attend coaching clinics to improve your knowledge while being available for evenings and weekends as the season requires.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching football at the high school level or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate student-athletes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in coaching football at the high school level or equivalent experience in a competitive environment.
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, coaches, and parents.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification prior to the start of the season.
• Must pass a background check and comply with all district policies and regulations.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required by the football season schedule.
• A passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field.
