Job summary

Harding Middle School in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking an MS Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for a stipend position. Qualifications

• Valid Iowa Coaching Endorsement or Coaching Authorization
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Coaching and/or leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in operating the athletic program
• Instruct players on rules, equipment and techniques as directed
• Follow district regulations and ensure proper supervision of athletes
• Participate in team meetings and encourage participation
• Maintain eligibility forms, emergency data, equipment inventory
• Monitor academic performance to meet eligibility requirements
• Model appropriate conduct toward players, officials and spectators
• Attend staff development, clinics and other professional activities
