Job summary

Sinton Middle School is seeking a dedicated Middle School Girls Athletic Coordinator to lead and supervise the girls' athletic program for grades 7-8, including volleyball, basketball, and track.

You will collaborate with district athletics staff, ensure UIL compliance, safety protocols, and promote athletic development, teamwork, and high school readiness.

This on-site role requires certified teachers, coaching experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Texas teaching certificate appropriate to assignments.
• Current first aid, CPR, and AED certification/training as required.
• Completion and maintenance of UIL CCP, safety, concussion, ethics/sportsmanship training.
• Texas driver's license.
• CDL with appropriate school bus/passenger endorsements strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination for the middle school girls' program (7-8).
• Coach volleyball, girls' basketball, track and other assigned sports; plan practices.
• Collaborate with Athletics Director and staff to set goals and calendars.
• Promote alignment with high school program; ensure skill development and transition.
• Ensure practices promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and student well-being.
• Monitor UIL eligibility and coordinate with campus personnel as needed.
• Ensure documentation, medical forms, and eligibility records are complete.
• Ensure CCP and state-mandated training is completed by staff and tracked.
• Maintain safety protocols, emergency plans, heat safety, and AED readiness.
• Report injuries and welfare concerns per district procedures.
• Oversee supervision before/during/after activities; manage travel and events.
• Coordinate schedules, transportation, facilities, equipment, and budgets.
