Job summary

Sinton ISD invites applications for the middle school girls’ athletic program lead. You will coach volleyball, girls' basketball, track and field and oversee the program for grades 7-8, ensuring safe, equitable and student-centered athletics aligned with UIL rules and district policy.

You will work with district leadership to plan practices, manage schedules, enforce eligibility, and mentor coaches while promoting academic success and a smooth transition to high school sports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate appropriate to assignments.
• Current first aid, CPR, and AED certification/training.
• Completion and maintenance of UIL CCP and sport-specific training.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• CDL with appropriate endorsements strongly preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination for the middle school girls' athletic program (grades 7-8).
• Coach volleyball, girls' basketball, track and field, and other assigned sports.
• Plan and conduct practices, conditioning, competitions per UIL/district rules.
• Collaborate with Athletics Director and campus admin to set goals, calendars, and expectations.
• Promote vertical alignment with high school athletics and student transition.
• Ensure eligibility compliance and documentation prior to participation.
• Enforce health and safety protocols, emergency plans, and AED access.
• Maintain uniforms, equipment, budgets, and athletic facilities.
• Support fundraising and booster activities in line with policy.
