Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with multilingual learners and ESL instruction.
• Familiarity with DESE regulations for English Learners.
• Massachusetts ESL license and SEI Endorsement are required.
• Ability to model excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ESL instruction to English Learners (ELs).
• Collaborate with content teachers to align ESL with curriculum.
• Administer state-m mandated assessments (ACCESS for ELLs).
• Maintain accurate student records in compliance with DESE.
• Attend parent conferences and engage with families regularly.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflect on practice.
