Job summary

Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School invites applications for a full-time English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher for grades 4-5. The role sits in Middle School and reports to the Building Principal with support from the ESL Director.

The position offers an academic-year schedule and a comprehensive benefits package. The ESL Teacher will provide direct language instruction, collaborate with content teachers, and ensure ELs have equitable access to programs and services while staying

Qualifications

• Experience working with multilingual students and building language development plans.
• Strong knowledge of ESL instructional methods and assessments.
• Familiarity with DESE regulations for English Learners.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, small-group, and whole-class ESL instruction.
• Coordinate with classroom teachers to align ESL with content objectives.
• Administer state-mandated assessments and maintain student records.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and engage families.
• Participate in required professional development for ESL instruction.
• Collaborate with ESL Director and instructional leadership for supports.
