The New School's EPSM program is seeking a Student Assistant to provide research and programmatic support that advances the curriculum, mission, and public engagement.
You will work with the Program Director and Administrator to coordinate events like webinars, workshops, and panels and assist with daily operations, communications, and data collection.
The EPSM program seeks a Student Assistant to provide research and programmatic support that advances the program’s curriculum, mission, and public engagement initiatives. Working closely with the EPSM Program Director and Program Administrator, the Student Assistant will support public-facing events, including webinars, workshops, and panels. In partnership with the Program Administrator, the Student Assistant will support the program's daily operations, including communications, event coordination, and data collection. This role is best suited for graduate students with prior EPSM experience and research expertise in areas such as environmental justice, climate justice, Indigenous ecologies, gender and ecology, and environmental policy.
This role provides core operational support by partnering with program leadership to plan and execute events such as workshops, panels, and webinars. It assists with general program administration and meeting participation to keep initiatives running smoothly. Additionally, the position collects and organizes key data to inform reporting and guide ongoing program strategies.
On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on campus during regularly scheduled work hours because the work cannot be performed remotely without being infeasible or not in the best interest of the organization.
Work hours are not fixed and may vary from week to week based on program needs. Student Assistants will support events taking place throughout the semester and should have some flexibility in their availability to accommodate scheduled program events.
Hourly Rate: $18 per hour
