The New School's Integrated Design Program (IDP) seeks a Student Assistant to provide operational and leadership support for events, from setup to breakdown. You will prepare spaces, welcome guests, assist presenters, handle logistics during workshops, showcases, and community gatherings, and support some audiovisual and photo editing tasks to ensure engaging experiences for all attendees.
On-campus position with flexible hours and an hourly rate of $18 per hour.
The IDP Student Assistant provides essential operational and leadership support for events hosted by the Integrated Design Program (IDP), helping ensure smooth execution from setup to breakdown. This role involves preparing event spaces, welcoming guests, assisting presenters and participants, and handling logistics during workshops, showcases, community gatherings, and some audiovisual and photo editing. The student helps create a positive, organized, and engaging environment for all attendees.
On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on campus during regularly scheduled work hours because the work cannot be performed remotely without being infeasible or not in the best interest of the organization.
Work hours are not fixed and may vary from week to week based on program needs. Student Assistants will support events taking place throughout the semester and should have some flexibility in their availability to accommodate scheduled program events.
Hourly Rate: $18 per hour
