Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Buffalo, NY seeks a Manager, Material Requirements Planning1 to direct daily MRP activities and lead a team on the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities include resolving schedule and material conflicts, authorizing requisitions, and initiating production orders while safeguarding cost and BOM integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 5 years of MRP experience; 2 years with Masters or 9 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in material requirements planning, supply chain, and material management.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience with ERP/MRP software (SAP).
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of planners and expeditors to manage MRP tasks on the floor.
• Analyze ERP and material data to meet assembly demands and manage substitutions.
• Generate material requirements and create purchase requisitions or production orders.
• Plan and control production schedules and ensure timely material delivery.
• Advise management on WIP status, material availability, and production issues.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities across QA, Purchasing, Engineering, and Inventory.
• Ensure a smooth material flow and on-time production.
