Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manager of Material Requirements Planning to lead daily MRP activities, manage a team, and ensure on-time material availability on the shop floor.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor’s (and possibly Master’s) in a related field, extensive ERP experience (SAP) and MS Office, and the ability to obtain a US government Secret clearance. The position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering with 5 years’ related MRP experience; 2 years with Masters; or 9 years’ applicable experience in lieu of degree
• Experience leading a team in MRP, supply chain and material management
• Experience with ERP/MRP software (SAP) and MS Office suite

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5 direct reports and coach them on MRP tasks
• Analyze manufacturing, ERP, and material data to meet assembly demands
• Generate part and material requirements and create purchase requisitions
• Plan and control production schedules; coordinate material flows
• Advise management on WIP status and material availability
• Prepare work orders based on master production schedule
• Coordinate with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and others
