Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Manager Material Requirements Planning at the Lafayette Engine Center. This role oversees a team to maintain material availability and ensure on-time delivery across internal and external suppliers.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Supply Chain or related field, with prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in MRP, SAP, LOGNET, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree in Supply Chain or similar discipline preferred.
• Experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Material Planning in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Direct Reports will include Material/Logistics Planning Analysts and Support Analysts within Procurement.
• Leads team to ensure material availability meets customer needs and facility objectives.
• Ensure team drives supply base to meet on time shipping performance and assist in root cause analysis for suppliers.
• Monitor shortage/surplus, inventory discrepancies, negative on-hand reports, and missed shipments; develop a scorecard.
• Interface daily with suppliers, Purchasing, Operations management, Engineers, and Supply Chain functions.
• Utilize systems driving material planning and tracking (MRP, SAP, Power BI).
• Lead daily meetings and participate in career development for direct reports.
