Job summary

GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc in Redmond, WA is seeking a full-time bioprocess technician to join onsite production. You will prepare DNA templates, perform mRNA-related steps, and run quality checks across analytical methods.

A Bachelor’s in Biology or Chemistry is required; experience with PCR/HPLC and teamwork in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and generous PTO. Lunch provided daily and comprehensive benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree Biology or Chemistry related field.
• Experience with mRNA is a plus.
• Experience with PCR, HPLC, or enzymatic reactions is desired.
• Ability to work as part of a small cross-disciplinary team.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-demand environment is desirable.
• Ability to communicate with peers and managers in a polite and concise manner.

Responsibilities

• Process DNA via PCR, digestion, and purification to prepare template for in-vitro transcription.
• Perform various enzymatic reactions to produce and process mRNA.
• Purify mRNA using HPLC, spin columns, and other technologies.
• Run quality checks on in-process and final products (gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, RT-PCR, etc.).
• Follow production SOPs to ensure compliance with validated processes.
• Document all processes and materials used on all products.
• Keep track of inventory using an inventory management system.
• Order materials internally and externally for production use.
• Any other tasks needed as deemed by production manager.
