Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI exams on patients of all ages, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout the process. You will work evenings and on-call from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

and have access to the latest imaging technologies. The role requires ARRT MRI credentialing, ARRT registration, BLS, and knowledge of imaging regulations, with preferred two years of acute care imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an equivalent per ARRT pathway.
• ARRT Registration and MRI-specific ARRT credentialing within one year of hire.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing imaging.
• Two years Imaging Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions immediately.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet department goals.
• Ensure safe, clean, and economical operation of the department.
• Coordinate scheduling, informatics, and patient information queries.
• Ensure electronic data is sent to the correct destination.
• Inspect equipment orientation and contact service if needed.
• Provide copies of imaging studies promptly.
• Perform routine, emergent, invasive, and special procedures per policy.
• Maintain supplies to meet daily schedule and orient new personnel.

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds and conditions. A caregiver in this role works evenings + on-call shifts from 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Maintain equipment and report any current or malfunctions with equipment immediately.
• Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
• Coordinate and answers questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information.
• Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation, contact service if necessary.
• Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
• Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive, and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
• Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
• Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting

Physical Requirements:

• Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests and to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
• Special Demands: Needs minimal sustained direction in assessing needs, carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities; self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day and is based on what is needed to accomplish work at hand.
• Requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Work requires finger dexterity and eye hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
