Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is hiring an MRI Technologist at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center to perform high-quality MRI exams and ensure patient comfort and safety. The role emphasizes accurate imaging, timely documentation, and collaboration with the radiology team.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT registration, an accredited Radiologic Technology program, MRI certification, and at least 2 years of MRI experience; IV contrast experience is preferred and EPIC/PACS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• MRI Certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital, acute care, or comparable clinical setting.
• Experience administering IV contrast preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and PACS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to established protocols.
• Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition.
• Administer IV contrast media in accordance with department policies.
• Evaluate image quality and make necessary technical adjustments.
• Accurately document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS.
• Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid when necessary.
• Support the education and training of Radiology students as assigned.
