Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff, the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI/MRA exams at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. The role supports patient care under Radiology leadership and involves collaboration with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other staff.

The position includes administering IV contrast, ensuring safety, documenting exams in EPIC/PACS, and contributing to training of Radiology students.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registration is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• MRI Certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years MRI Technologist experience in a hospital, acute care, or comparable setting.
• Experience administering IV contrast preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and PACS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to established protocols.
• Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer IV contrast media per department policies.
• Evaluate image quality and make necessary technical adjustments.
• Document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS.
• Maintain timely and accurate records in line with standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses and others to support patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid.
• Support education and training of Radiology students as assigned.
