Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist for a StaffFlex contract on a night-weekend schedule. The role requires ARRT certification, CT/MRI experience, and patient-focused care. Responsibilities include imaging, contrast administration, and standing by for calls within 30 minutes.

Technical/Vocational training and ARRT or ARMRIT certification are required, with 2+ years CT/MR experience. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Patient care and communication skills to deal with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups [Required]
• Must be able to use computer system for data entry and retrieval [Required]
• Basic clerical skills, record keeping, documentation, transfer of images to disk or film and excellent customer service skills [Required]

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and MRI imaging procedures.
• Assists Radiologists in special procedures such as biopsies.
• Maintains records of examinations performed.
• Obtains and documents patient clinical history.
• Positions patients and equipment to produce accurate images.
• Administers contrast material for CT and MRI procedures.
• Monitors patient condition and ensures patient safety and privacy.
• Performs basic patient care within the scope of practice.
• Participates in standby call and is available within 30 minutes of notification.
• Performs equipment quality control and calibrations.
• Coordinates equipment service and preventative maintenance.
• Trains new employees and assesses technologist competence.
• Assists in routine department clerical needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
