Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure exam rooms are ready, educate patients on MRI procedures and safety, and position patients for optimal imaging. The role requires knowledge of MRI procedures, proper use of immobilization and contrast administration, and a focus on patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and ready for use and equipment is cleaned and tested.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably with immobilization and coil placement techniques for high-quality images.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material and monitors for adverse reactions.

Job Description:

Schedule: Saturday, Sunday and Monday 6:45am to 7:15pm

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
