Job summary

Sanford Health, the nation's leading rural health system, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams with a strong focus on safety and patient care. The role requires professional judgment, patient interaction, and accurate documentation in EMR systems.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, positioning, contrast administration as needed, and adherence to imaging protocols. On-call duties may be required, with opportunities for career growth within Sanford Rural Health

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA/JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology program.
• MRI training or experience preferred.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required at hire.
• MRI certification or certification within two years post-hire preferred.
• Licensure through the ND Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board if ND is the work state.
• IA permit to practice required to work in Iowa.
• BLS within six weeks of employment and recertified as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic MRI exams with professional judgment and safety.
• Initiates life support measures as necessary and ensures patient comfort.
• Interacts with patients, families, physicians and staff; documents in EMR.
• May perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures.
