Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist. The role involves preparing patients, verifying orders, and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities include selecting imaging parameters, positioning patients, administering contrast when indicated, and sending images to PACS for interpretation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by ARRT.
• Strong leadership ability and communication skills.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per radiologist instructions.
• Gather patient data and verify orders and consent.
• Ensure proper screening and safety protocols before imaging.
• Position patients and select imaging parameters and coils.
• Monitor patient for adverse reactions and maintain communication throughout the exam.
• Transmit images to PACS and document patient information accurately.
